Payette Rivers - These rivers have it all from a quiet, scenic float to some of the most challenging white water in North America. Choose a half-day float, full-day with lunch, or overnight. Services provided by Cascade Raft Company.
Main Payette - This three-hour splashy getaway is perfect for anyone -- especially families, first-timers, groups and tours. Grab a paddle and dive into the fun as you encounter excitement around every bend. After a few miles of this relatively calm stretch of river, you'll feel like an old pro.
North Fork Carbarton - Spectacular scenery with glimpses of Idaho's abundant wildlife highlight this full-day trip as you glide through eleven miles of dense, remote forest. Relax in the warm water and enjoy your delicious riverside lunch as you escape the strain of everyday life.
Lower South Fork - Are you ready for a truly wild whitewater challenge? During this eight mile section of churning river, nonstop class III and IV rapIds will plunge you into the ultimate whitewater experience. From Garden Valley to Banks, you'll conquer rapids with colorful names like Bronco Billy, Staircase, and Slalom. This three-hour trip is a definite must for the adventuresome.
South Fork Canyon - Bring your spirit of adventure and be ready to get wet as you peer down a thousand feet of vertical walls to catch glimpses of the 13 mile Canyon section of the South Fork. Towering canyon walls channel the clear blue water as it plummets through one of the West's most magnificent river corridors. The combination of steep drops and awesome scenery makes this the crown jewel of continuous Class IV rapids. The portage around thundering Big Falls, a forty-foot waterfall, is sure to leave you awestruck by its majesty. A gourmet lunch will be prepared riverside by our guides. This trip is for active people looking for excitement.
During spring and summer, Deadwood Outfitters has partnered with the Cascade Raft Company to provide an exciting weekend getaway or an extension to your stay with us. We have combined the best of two thrilling ways to see and feel the backcountry: Idaho horseback trail ride trips and Idaho river rafting trips on the Payette Rivers.
Imagine spending several days riding and camping in areas you have only seen in travel magazines. So beautiful you hardly believed they could really exist. That is what this trip is all about.
Saddle - Combine your Idaho River Rafting adventure with a Horseback Riding Trip. Enjoy the pristine wilderness of Idaho's "River of No Return." Ride horseback from Deadwood's river base camp and you will have a chance to see elk, deer, moose, bear, cougar and wolves. Your knowledgeable guide will point out many areas of interest along the trails in and around some of the most spectacular country in the Gem State.
Paddle - Then drop your reigns and pick up a paddle to experience some of the world's most challenging and thrilling white water in North America, a quiet scenic float trip, or perhaps something in between. The Cascade Raft Company offers a variety of white water experiences on the spectacular Payette River system. You may choose a half-day float, full-day with lunch, or overnight. Services for the float trips are provided by Cascade Raft Company which we will arrange for you when combined with Deadwood Outfitters Horseback Riding adventure.
The mighty Snake River flowing north through Hell's Canyon, the deepest canyon in North America, has the most scenic white water for combination raft/jet boat trips.
