Our instructors will once again be Don and Joy Knickrehm of the Idaho Angler.
The seminar will be held on the beautiful Deadwood River. There will be instruction for all levels.
Accommodations at our backcountry lodge are comfortable but maintain the atmosphere of the backcountry with rustic cabins, wood fired hot tub and breathtaking scenery.

You will need to bring your own float tube, waders, rod, reel, floating line, leader, polarized sunglasses, hat, sleeping bag and boots with a heel for riding. If you do not have or can not borrow this gear, let us know what you need and we will provide equipment for a small rental fee.
Price: $650.
Cabin accommodations, great food and campfire fun are all included in the cost.

Long Range Hunting & Shooting School
June 20-22, June 27-29
& July 11-13, 2008

This school is designed to teach the principals involved in long range hunting. Students will learn how to make ethical long range shots on game animals. They will learn how to shoot extreme angles up and down, how to calculate the wind and other environmental effects on their bullet, and positional shooting techniques.
Students will shoot various game animal targets at ranges out to 700 yards in realistic practical hunting situations. The class room will be in the beautiful mountains of central Idaho. Students will come away from this school with the knowledge and confidence to make ethical decisions on shooting game at extended distance.
We guarantee you will have fun, learn, and enjoy your time at Deadwood Outfitters. When class is over each day you can go fishing, hiking, horse back riding, hot tubing or just relax in the beautiful mountains.
Accommodations at Deadwood Outfitters are comfortable but maintain the atmosphere of the back country. You will stay in rustic cabins (you provide sleeping bag or bedding). There are hot showers and a wood fired hot tub. You will be served hearty home style meals and enjoy the breathtaking scenery.
Instructors:
Mike Perkins
Mike has been a Police Sniper for 21 years. He has been a sniper instructor for the last 12 years and trains military and police snipers at the special forces training center at Camp Williams. He competes in sniper competitions around the world and in 2000 Mike and his partner won the European Sniper Championships in Austria. Mike's team has won numerous competitions in the top 5 teams in most competitions they enter. He has worked with and trained teams from the FBI/Delta Force/Air Force/SAS/US Marshals, police and military sniper teams from around the country. He worked the 1984 Olympics as sniper over watch and was asked by the Secret Service and FBI to arrange the sniper teams for the Olympics in Salt Lake, where he spent three weeks as sniper over watch. Mike has hunted his whole life and loves the outdoors. He has been professionally guiding hunters for Deadwood Outfitters for the last 6 years and loves to share his knowledge and experience with others.
Dan Barber
Dan has been Mike's partner for the last six years and has become one of the best snipers in the country. He has been instructing with Mike for the last four years. Dan loves the outdoors and brings a love of shooting and knowledge that will assist students. Tidbit: Dan's best three shot group was 3-1/2 inches at 1000 yards.
Tuition: $750. Includes school, lodging & meals. Class limited
to 12 students.
Non student:
$350. Includes lodging, meals, nature hikes, horse back ride.
