Deadwood Outfitters Backcountry Annual Fly Fishing Event You Won't Want to Miss!
Our June Idaho Annual fly fishing clinic held on the beautiful Deadwood River was a great success as we welcomed new fishermen and previous guests to this year's fly fishing adventure, enjoyed great fishing weather, beautiful Western scenery, informative fly fishing lessons & techniques, and most importantly, hooked plenty of fish. Don't worry if you can't make our annual fly fishing clinic event, there are still many opportunities for year round fishing on your own or with our Idaho fishing guides.
Three days and two nights of fly fishing instruction for all levels. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced fly fishers and novices alike. We ride on horseback to fish a remote lake in the pristine Boise National Forest. The seminars are taught by renowned fly fishers known for both their expertise and ability to teach the art successfully. Arrive and experience the camaraderie of a beautiful outdoor adventure with others who share your passion.
A magnificent scenic drive will bring you to Deadwood Outfitters backcountry Idaho Fishing Lodge. Our cozy two-story cabins hidden amongst the pine trees easily accommodate large groups. Hearty dining, hot showers or a soak in our wood-fired hot tub under the stars of night are a welcome end to a long day of fishing! Swap stories by the campfire every night. Come away relaxed and confident in your fly fishing skills. We'll take care of all the details from your accommodations to your meals.

There will be instruction for all levels and something to challenge everyone. Lots of 1x1 time with instructors and lots of opportunity for different types of water. Class room time AND plenty of rod in hand fishing time.

What to Bring:
Please bring your own float tube, rod, reel, floating line, leader, polarized sunglasses, hat, sleeping bag or bedding (rustic cabin accommodations), sunscreen, bug spray and of course a camera to "catch" your fishing highlights and the fabulous scenery!
If you don't have or can't borrow some of these items, please let us know and we can help you out for a small rental fee.

Travis was born and raised in Hood River Oregon, where he still resides. Growing up with some of the best Steelhead, Trout and Salmon fishing in the world. Travis's love for pursuing wily Steelhead and Trout with a fly rod started at an early age. This passion for the sport of fly fishing and chasing the Northwest best fish with a fly rod developed into a career in 1992 when Travis opened the doors to Gorge Fly Shop. Shortly after he opened his shop Travis started guiding clients for Trout, summer & winter Steelhead on many of the great tributaries to the Columbia River in the area. For the last 18 years Travis has operated Gorge Fly Shop meeting clients from all over the world, helping them fill their dreams of catching the fish of their life on a fly rod. He is often assisted by Steve and Debbie Turner, wonderful fly fishers and great friends.
Our greatest complement is our return fishermen year after year!
