All hunters
Sleeping bag or bedroll
1 pair wool trousers (heavy for cold weather hunts)
1 warm coat or parka
2 hats stocking cap and baseball cap or stetson
2 pair jeans
2 changes thermal underwear
2 shirts wool or flannel
2 lightweight shirts, cotton
6 pair of warm socks
2 pair boots (insulated, waterproof and light hiking)
1 pair comfortable "camp" shoes or slippers
1 set quality rain gear as "quiet" as possible
2 pair warm, waterproof gloves
compact flashlight and extra batteries
rifle and 1 box shells
binoculars and/or spotting scope
knife
unbreakable canteen or water bottle
waterproof matches
space blanket
day pack or fanny pack
2-4 large garbage bags for dirty clothes, etc.
2 heavy-duty elk game bags
In addition, bring personal items including towel and wash cloth, handkercheifs, camera, any prescription or over-the-counter medication you take, an extra pair of eye glasses or contact lenses and other items that you may want to consider, like a good pair of waterproof gaters.
Archery hunters
Bring the gear listed above but substitue camo clothing in greys and browns for the appropriate clothing above, along with the following:
camo paint or head net
"tackle box" with extra bow string
compound bow stringer, pliers, extra peep sight, extra release, broadheads
We recommend you also bring:
judo points for camp practice
12-18 arrows per hunter
bow scabbard for horseback riding is provided
